I didn’t think of this

MLB.com reminded me of something that I hadn’t thought of.  If the Mets starting pitching continues down the road it’s on now, is a move made to sign Pedro Martinez?  He’s asking for around $5 million for a season worth of service.  He proved he can still pitch during the WBC.  The price is a little high in my opinion.  Not because Pedro can’t pitch, but because there’s a major question about whether or not he can stay healthy.  If you could get 20-25 starts out of Pedro you could justify the spending, but if he does the same thing he’s done for the last two seasons, it would be throwing money away.

Is Pedro Lite (as my roommate called him) worth the price?
