Oliver Perez has been sent to the DL with “knee tendinitis” to make room for Jon Niese. Does this scream “invented” to anyone?
Too bad it took the Mets two weeks to make the decision. It sounds crazy, but I hoped this would have been an excuse to send Jenrry Mejia down to become a starter. Oh well.
